News, Updates and Tips
Safety Features
Safety in the swimming pool is important to us, so we love how all Barrier Reef pools have non-slip steps, and safety ledges that are ideal for young and learner swimmers, giving them confidence in the water

We give free site visits to help you start realising your pool dreams!
Unobstructed Swim Space!
If you want a pool for swimming laps, the Venice is the perfect pool for you! With the steps outside the swim space, there is nothing to get in the way!
Pool Refurb
We're rapt with this recent pool reno!
Gone are the dated pebbledash tiles, replaced with chic white quartzite copers from Natural Stone Imports, and fresh paint in Resene Curious Blue. This pool is now a fresh and vibrant focal point in our clients back yard!
Contact us if you have a concrete pool that needs a refurb
We also do pump and filtration upgrades
Heat Pump Installation
Want to extend your swim season now the temperature is dropping? Talk to us about installing an Oasis heat pump
Saltwater Pools
We install our pools with a salt chlorination system. Although you don’t add chlorine to a saltwater pool, it does still produce chlorine. It just has a smaller amount that’s generated through the chlorination system.
A saltwater pool contains 10 times less salt than the ocean. There’s around 3,000 ppm salinity in a saltwater pool, that's about the same concentration as in human tears. By comparison, there’s 35,000 ppm in the ocean
1. Saltwater pools are gentler on your body and clothing
2. There is no harsh chlorine smell
3. The water is softer
4. You don’t need to store chlorine
5. They cost less to maintain
Tip - Cartridge Health
If you're noticing a decrease in water flow performance and have a cartridge filter, it could be a build up of fats in the filter from sunscreen, or hair products etc. To help reduce this problem put a spa disc in the skimmer box - making sure your basket is always in place so the disc does not get sucked through the system. They can be removed and cleaned with warm water and detergent to re-use
Tip - Water Health
In hot weather your pools water level can drop considerably. Make sure to keep your pool topped up to midway in your skimmer box. Having a low water level risks your pump running dry and a costly replacement
New Colour!
Beach Shimmer - Created to reflect Australia’s iconic beaches, featuring cool-toned beige highlights that shine through in shallow waters, and minty blue tones that illuminate deep waters

Looking forward to discussing your pool plans with you!
Tip - Let Your Pool Breathe
Pool covers are ideal to keep debris out and heat in. But it's always a good idea to frequently remove the cover even in the winter to let your pool breathe. Chlorine can build up and with the cover on has no place to escape to, and has numerous effects including confusing automatic filtration systems and staining your pool
Get Naked!
Different to traditional pool systems that rely on high levels of chlorine to sanitise the pool water, the Naked System utilises nature’s natural minerals such as copper and silver.
With extremely low amounts of salt and the minerals present, the water in a Naked Pool has a soft and rejuvenating feel, best described as swimming in a fresh water stream
